Olympus 2 automates the main stages of disc production, from media handling and duplication to compatible disc printing. It can be used for data CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray discs, audio CDs and video media according to the supported configuration.
The system can operate within a networked production environment where authorized users submit and manage jobs from connected workstations. Browser-based access also allows job submission and production-status monitoring without installing a dedicated client application.

The Olympus publishing software supports Event Controlled Recording (ECR), allowing files placed in a designated folder to trigger media production according to configured events. Batch and SDK options can also be used for compatible automated production workflows.
